All wireless devices from smartphones to wireless laptops to baby monitors come with FCC warnings that they are NOT safe to use if held directly on the body. Click on the logos to see the warnings in the manuals.


In their fine print to carry your iphone atleast 5mm away from your body to ensure exposure levels remain at or below the as tested levels.


The manual states that testing has been carried out at a separation distance of 1.0 cm. To meet RF exposure guidelines during body-worn operation, the device should be positioned at least this distance away from the body.


The manual warns exposure guidelines when used either in the normal use position against the ear or when positioned at least 1.5 cm away from the body. When a carry case, belt clip or holder is used for bodyworn operation, it should not contain metal and should position the product at least 1.5 cm away from your body.

According the Environmental Health Trust, in 2012 the Bioinitiative report concluded that there is a veritable flood of new studies reporting sperm damage in humans and animals, leading to substantial concerns for fertility, reproduction and health of the offspring. Exposure levels are similar to those resulting from wearing a mobile phone on the belt or in the trouser pocket.

To comply with IC RF exposure compliance requirements, the antenna used for this transmitter must be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 20 cm from all persons and must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.

The Environmental Health trust has created a website called The Fine Print.Org which is available for you to read and learn about what’s in your manual. Fine print may protect manufacturers legally. Let’s protect consumers in reality!
